Michael Amante
Michael Amante, one of the most talked about American tenors on either side of the pop/classical divide, creates buzz among everyone who hears his voice. Amante’s debut album, Michael Amante, topped Billboard Magazine’s 2002 charts at #1 for Top Midline Classical Artist. Amante has been hailed as “The Fourth Tenor,” by Regis Philbin and “The next Mario Lanza” by Tony Bennett. Amante has given performances to countless dignitaries, including former US Presidents Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Pope John Paul II, Luciano Pavarotti and Julia Roberts to name a few. He has also appeared on dozens of Television shows including “Live with Regis Philbin,” ABC’s “The View,” “The Tony Danza Show,” and “Emeril Live.” His PBS special, Michael Amante, received a regional Emmy Award nomination. Michael’s stage appearances include leading roles in West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and La Bohéme. More recently he portrayed the lead role in the musical “Chess” for which he received outstanding reviews. His live concerts with some of the nation’s best symphonies include music from The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Italian classics and songs from treasured American composers. In 2016, Amante formed an 80’s rock group which is already making waves across the United States. Michael Amante’s Rock Opera comprises five of the most talented musicians in the tribute band business. Their repertoire is described as, “80’s music done right with a touch of classical inspiration”. Amante continue to tour all over the world.
