What’s in a name?... according to Cedric "The Entertainer", it’s his career! The popular actor and comedian has won Four Consecutive NAACP image awards for "outstanding actor in a comedy series" for his portrayal of the lovable Coach Cedric Jackie Robinson on the WB’s top rated sitcom, "The Steve Harvey Show".
From 1997 through 2000, he traveled across the country as one of the headliners of the super successful "Kings Of Comedy Tour", sharing the marquee with fellow funnymen Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley and Bernie Mac. The tour grossed over $37 million and became the highest grossing tour in comedy history.
Cedric has appeared on NBC's "The Tonight Show", HBO's "The Chris Rock Show", ABC's "Politically Incorrect", Hollywood Squares, HBO Def Comedy Jam and BET’s "Comic View", which he hosted during the 1994-95 season. Cedric made his film debut in the 1998 comedy, "Ride" and has since appeared in Martin Lawrence’s box office smash, "Big "Momma’s House", Spike Lee’s hit docu-film "The Original Kings of Comedy", "Kingdom Come", "Dr. Doolittle 2", "Ice Age", "Serving Sara" and in MGM's "Barbershop" as the controversial "Eddie". If that were not enough, Cedric starred in his own variety show on Fox and has added author to his title with the release of his first book, booking info, event, management, "Grown-A$$ Man" (Ballantine Books).
