  John Byner

Comedian John Byner rose to fame during the 1966 edition of TV's The Garry Moore Show. Byner went on to join the supporting ensemble on the 1967 summer-replacement weekly The Steve Allen Comedy Hour, and five years later headlined his own five-week summer series. He has appeared as a regular on the TV sitcoms The Practice and Soap, and can be spotted in such lampoonish theatrical films as Transylvania 6-5000. An accomplished impressionist -- he provided the voice for the Jackie Mason-ish aardvark in DePatie-Freleng's Ant and the Aardvark cartoon shorts. A Las Vegas headliner into the 1990s, John Byner's TV contributions have included a stint as host of a series of Bowery Boys films on the A&E cable network.
This season, John starred for the UPN network as Ed Sullivan for The Virtual Ed Sullivan Show. He his pleased to have been chosen to portray Ed Sullivan as Mr. Sullivan invited John to appear on The Ed Sullivan Show 17 times.
Also, John guest-starred on the hit comedy series Dharma and Greg and co-starred alongside Judd Hirsch in a special episode of “Caroline in the City.” John’s prior series “Comedy on the Road,” which aired for four seasons on A & E Network won him his second Ace Award, The first Ace was received for his hilarious Bizarre Show series for the A & E Network.
John will always be remembered for his role of Detective Donahue on the long running ABC series “Soap.” John Byner is always a favored guest of David Letterman and Jay Leno.
A man of a thousand on the mark impressions, John has made millions laugh over the years from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. He has shared the stage with such luminaries as Frank SInatra, Diana Ross, James Ingram and Carol Burnett.
