entertainer is one of Variety's "Top Ten Comics to Watch" and
was voted by Comedy Central viewers as one of their "Top Ten Favorite
Comics?" Maria Bamford! That's who!
Maria started her performing arts career in Duluth, Minnesota at the age
of 11 where she starred in the Chester Park Elementary production of How
the West Was REALLY Won! A short 24 years of self-discovery and secretarial

Central series The Comedians of Comedy and Netflix's Comedians of Comedy:
The Movie. She has made multiple late-night appearances on Late Night
with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show
with Craig Kilborn and Jimmy Kimmel Live, as well as not-so-late appearances
on Premium Blend, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and The World Comedy Tour:
Melbourne 2003.
Maria also performs comedic voiceovers for such cartoons as CatDog and
PBS's Emmy-winning series Word Girl. She has guest starred on Oxygen's
Hey Monie! and Cartoon Network's Home Movies. In Nickelodeon's animated
feature Barnyard, she voiced "Mrs. Beady," a role she later
reprised in the TV spin-off series Back at the Barnyard.
Maria's writing has been featured in The Onion, The Melbourne Age and
LA Weekly. She is currently working on a book about depression and mental
illness with funny experiences of her own and other comedians that will
be published in 2009 by Quack! Media. Her new CD Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome,
