BIOGRAPHy

Comedian, actress and writer Jamie Lee is best known for Girl Code, Crashing, I Love…, Ridiculousness, and The Wedding Coach. She is the author of the 2016 book Weddiculous: An Unfiltered Guide to Being a Bride. While in New York City, Lee worked in the publicity department at Comedy Central before leaving to focus on stand-up comedy. She then served as a writer’s assistant for Jerry Seinfeld and others on The Marriage Ref. In 2010, Lee got her career break when she made it to the semi-finals on season 7 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. She then booked college tours, a slot on Conan, a recurring guest place at Chelsea Handler’s roundtable on Chelsea Lately, and in 2011, a position as a writer on MTV’s Ridiculousness. Lee is best known for her role as a core cast member on the popular MTV show Girl Code.  She has appeared as a stand-up comedian on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Last Call with Carson Daly, Chelsea Lately, and @midnight. She is the host of the TruTV series 10 Things and the Entertainment Weekly online series Polished. In 2018, she was the female lead on the second season of the HBO series Crashing, for which she was a writer on the first season.  In 2021, Netflix released The Wedding Coach, a reality TV series about wedding planning hosted by Lee.

Career Path

2010Broke through nationally by reaching the semi-finals on season 7 of NBC's 'Last Comic Standing', which led directly to college touring, a slot on 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien', and recurring appearances at Chelsea Handler's 'Chelsea Lately' roundtable.
2011Joined MTV's 'Ridiculousness' as a staff writer, launching a multi-year relationship with the network that preceded her on-camera breakthrough.
2012Selected as a New Face at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, a launchpad recognition for emerging stand-up talent.
2013Joined the core cast of MTV's 'Girl Code', the breakout role that became her best-known television credit and introduced her to a generation of young comedy fans.
2016Published 'Weddiculous: An Unfiltered Guide to Being a Bride', which served as the source material for her later Netflix series.
2018Served as female lead and writer on the second season of HBO's 'Crashing', the Judd Apatow-produced series, after writing on its first season.
2021Hosted and executive produced 'The Wedding Coach' for Netflix, a reality wedding-planning series adapted from her book 'Weddiculous', which premiered.
2022Served as executive producer on Peacock's 'Killing It', a comedy series starring Craig Robinson, while simultaneously stepping up to the same EP role on Apple TV+'s 'Ted Lasso' for its third season.
2023Received her second Emmy nomination as executive producer on 'Ted Lasso' Season 3, adding to the show's cumulative WGA, Emmy, Peabody, PGA, and Critics Choice Award wins that her producing work helped earn.
