BIOGRAPHy

The characters of Jake and Elwood Blues, created by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in 1978, were initially imagined as frontmen for a fictitious American blues and soul band. Since their film debut in 1980, the irreverent characters have resonated with people around the world and the Blues Brothers have catapulted into a cultural phenomenon and musical, comedic, and cinematic legend. The Official Blues Brothers Revue, featuring Wayne Catania and Kieron Lafferty as Jake and Elwood, recreates the live concert experience, integrating the humor and songs from the original film and subsequent albums. Produced by Judy Belushi Pisano and Dan Aykroyd, the Revue pays homage to Chicago’s rich history of blues, soul music and gospel in the true spirit of the original Blues Brothers. Under the musical direction of Paul Shaffer, Jake, Elwood and the high-energy eight-piece Intercontinental Rhythm & Blues Revue Band lay down a big sound, performed with the passion and precision of the original Blues Brothers. Career Path

1978Jake and Elwood Blues debuted on Saturday Night Live, created and performed by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as frontmen for a fictitious Chicago blues and soul band.
1980The Blues Brothers film brought Jake and Elwood's irreverent blend of Chicago blues, soul, and gospel to a worldwide audience, launching the characters into cultural legend.
1998The sequel 'Blues Brothers 2000' extended the franchise into a new generation, keeping the music and characters alive for audiences around the world.
2005Wayne Catania and Kieron Lafferty were hand-picked by Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi Pisano to portray Jake and Elwood in The Official Blues Brothers Revue, the only show officially sanctioned by Aykroyd and the John Belushi Estate.
2005Under the musical direction of Paul Shaffer, the Revue's eight-piece Intercontinental Rhythm and Blues Revue Band debuted a 22-song live show drawing from the original film and subsequent Blues Brothers albums.
2010Ranked among the top-booked tribute acts in North America, the Revue built a touring footprint spanning theaters, performing arts centers, and major festivals.
2017Expanded the touring footprint internationally with performances across Australia and Europe as the officially sanctioned Blues Brothers show.
2022Headlined prestigious venues including Patchogue Theatre and performing arts centers across the United States, delivering the full deluxe show featuring tributes to Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles.
2025Launched the 45th Anniversary Blues Brothers Revue World Tour, with Catania and Lafferty bringing the full Revue to theaters and festival stages across the United States, Australia, and Europe.
