Bruce Hornsby is a nine time Grammy nominee, and has won three – in 1987 with The Range for Best New Artist for their debut LP, “The Way It Is,”; in 1989 for Best Bluegrass Recording for his hit, “The Valley Road,”; and with Branford Marsalis in 1993 for Best Pop Instrumental Performance for their song, “Barcelona Mona.” Hornsby’s five albums – “The Way It Is” (1986), “Scenes From The Southside” (1988), “A Night On The Town” (1990), “Harbor Lights” (1993), and “Hot House” (1995) – have sold more than eight million copies worldwide. The title cut from “The Way It Is” was the most played song on American radio in 1987, winning ASCAP’s Song of the Year award. In addition to his own hit records, Bruce Hornsby has co-authored many hits for other artists, such as “Jacob’s Ladder” for Huey Lewis and “The End Of The Innocence” for Don Henley. He finally turned in his fourth album, “Harbor Lights,” for release in 1993, which went gold. He followed it with a similar effort, “Hot House,” in July 1995, returning three years later with the double album, “Spirit Trail.” “Here Come the Noise Makers” was issued in fall 2000. Since that time, Hornsby has released a handful of albums, including “Big Swing Face” in 2002, “Halcyon Days” in 2004, and the jazz-oriented “Camp Meeting” in 2007. More recently, in 2016, Bruce came out with “Rehab Reunion.” Bruce Hornsby continues to tour the world.

1986Released debut album 'The Way It Is' with the Range; the title track reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the most-played song on American radio in 1987, winning ASCAP's Song of the Year.
1987Won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, beating out a competitive field to claim the honor for his debut LP.
1988Won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Recording for 'The Valley Road,' a reimagined bluegrass arrangement recorded with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
1989Co-wrote 'The End of the Innocence' for Don Henley and 'Jacob's Ladder' for Huey Lewis, cementing his reputation as one of rock's most sought-after outside songwriters.
1990Joined the Grateful Dead as a touring keyboardist following the death of Brent Mydland, playing over 100 shows through 1992 while simultaneously maintaining his solo career.
1993Won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance with Branford Marsalis for 'Barcelona Mona,' composed for the 1992 Summer Olympics, and released the gold-certified solo album 'Harbor Lights' featuring Pat Metheny and Jerry Garcia.
2016Released 'Rehab Reunion' with the Noisemakers, an all-dulcimer album featuring guest vocals by Mavis Staples and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon.
2019Released 'Absolute Zero,' his first album with chamber ensemble yMusic, blending classical instrumentation with his signature piano style and lyrics co-written with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter.
2024Released 'Deep Sea Vents' under the moniker BrhyM, a debut collaboration album with yMusic built around 10 songs written during the pandemic, distributed by Thirty Tigers.
2026Released 'Indigo Park' featuring collaborations with Bonnie Raitt, Ezra Koenig, and the late Bob Weir, and launched a 50-date 'Indigo Park Tour' with the Noisemakers marking the 40th anniversary of 'The Way It Is.'
