The Casey Donahew Band owes their quickly expanding fan base to playing 200 dates a year at State Fairs, Rodeos, Dance Halls, Festivals as a headliner and opening for stellar acts like the Randy Roger’s Band and Kevin Fowler. The “Donahew-it” work ethic includes self-releasing four CDs on their Almost Country Label. Texas Music Magazine’s calls 2009’s Moving On “a vibrant collection matching eternally restless anthems aginst engaging narratives, rattles and rolls and rambles like a youthful Robert Earl Keen fronting Reckless Kelly. Lone star idealism links kindred spirits.” The CD charted on Billboard Top 200 at #126, #3 Heatseeker and #28 on the Country Charts, selling 14,000 copies in 5 months with the single “Ramblin Kind” topping the Texas Music chart at #1. Career Path

2002Founded the Casey Donahew Band in Burleson, Texas, building a grassroots following by playing 200 dates a year at state fairs, rodeos, dance halls, and festivals across the Lone Star State.
2006Self-released the debut album "Lost in Texas" on the band's own Almost Country Label, establishing their independent model and introducing their fiddle-and-steel-driven Texas country sound.
2009"Moving On" charted at No. 126 on the Billboard Top 200, No. 3 on Heatseekers, and No. 28 on the Country Albums chart, selling 14,000 copies in five months; Texas Music Magazine compared the record to a youthful Robert Earl Keen fronting Reckless Kelly.
2009The single "Ramblin' Kind" topped the Texas Music chart at No. 1, giving the band their first regional chart-topper and drawing attention from listeners well beyond Texas.
2013Released "Standoff," adding to a self-released catalog that grew through relentless road work alongside fellow Texas country acts like the Randy Rogers Band and Kevin Fowler.
2016"All Night Party" peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, the highest national chart position of the band's career and confirmation of their crossover appeal beyond the Texas market.
2020Released "Lost My Brothers Goat," an acoustic album born from weekly live streams during the pandemic shutdown that evolved into a 12-week Texas variety show for fans stuck at home.
2022Dropped "Built Different," a 10-song independent release leaning into patriotism and personal grit, while logging 62 live performances across Texas and the broader Southwest.
2024Released "Never Not Love You," a 17-track project featuring duets with Wade Bowen, Pat Green, Randy Rogers, and newcomer Kylie Frey on "Whiskey Talking," showcasing the full breadth of the Texas country community around the band.
2025Performed at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth, one of the most storied honky-tonk stages in the country, capping a year of 38 live performances after more than two decades of headlining the Texas circuit.
