Lady Gaga

BIOGRAPHy

Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is a transformative force in pop culture. A classically trained pianist, she honed her skills at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts before grittier gigs in the Lower East Side rock scene led to her 2008 debut, The Fame. Driven by hits like “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” she became an instant global icon known for avant-garde fashion and theatrical performances. Gaga’s career is defined by reinvention. From the dark pop of The Fame Monster to the jazz standards recorded with Tony Bennett, she has mastered diverse genres. Her 2016 album Joanne showcased a stripped-back, country-rock aesthetic, while her 2020 return to dance-pop, Chromatica, reaffirmed her status as a club-culture pioneer. She has won 13 Grammy Awards and holds numerous Guinness World Records for her chart dominance and digital influence. Her transition to cinema has been equally stellar. Following a Golden Globe-winning turn in American Horror Story, she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress and won Best Original Song for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born (2018). Most recently, she starred in House of Gucci and joined the DC universe in Joker: Folie à Deux. Off-screen, Gaga is a fierce advocate for mental health and LGBTQ+ rights through her Born This Way Foundation.
