Larry David

If actor, writer and comedian Larry David had only one credit to his name – that of co-creator of “Seinfeld” – arguably the most popular and critically-acclaimed situation comedy in the history of television, outside of possibly “I Love Lucy” – his legacy would be well assured. Thankfully for audiences who knew him only as a name in the “Seinfeld” credits, Larry has segued into a starring role as a more curmudgeonly version of himself on the hit improvisational HBO comedy series, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” a show which in tone and subject matter – as well as even occasional guest stars – reminds many of David’s “Seinfeld,” the show “about nothing” that continues to delight longtime fans year after year!  Larry David’s hysterical impressions of Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live is something all of America looks forward to. Larry’s grouchy – and hilarious.

Career Path

1989Co-created 'Seinfeld' with Jerry Seinfeld for NBC, serving as head writer and executive producer of what would become arguably the most acclaimed sitcom in television history.
1992Wrote the 'Seinfeld' episode 'The Contest', which TV Guide later ranked No. 1 on its list of TV's Top 100 Episodes of All Time.
1993Won two Primetime Emmy Awards for 'Seinfeld', Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Writing, as the show took its first, and only, comedy series prize.
2000Created and starred in 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' on HBO, playing a curmudgeonly version of himself in an improvisational format that recalled the 'Seinfeld' spirit in tone, subject, and occasional shared guest stars.
2015'Curb Your Enthusiasm' returned after a four-year hiatus with Season 8, and David began a recurring run playing Bernie Sanders on 'Saturday Night Live', impression appearances that became a national talking point throughout the 2016 campaign cycle.
2017Brought 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' back for Season 9 after a six-year gap, proving audiences had lost none of their appetite for Larry's brand of socially catastrophic comedy.
2021'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 11 premiered on HBO, set in a post-COVID world, continuing the show's run as one of cable television's longest-lived comedy series.
2024Season 12 of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' premiered on HBO as the series finale, concluding a 24-year run with the finale airing in the same year the show began its final chapter.
2024Took 'A Conversation with Larry David' on a national live tour spanning Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, and additional cities, discussing 'Seinfeld', 'Curb', and his career with a mystery local moderator at each stop.
