BIOGRAPHy

Blind since birth, Stevie Wonder was born on May 13, 1950, in Michigan. A choir singer, little Stevie was taken to meet Berry Gordy, the president of Motown. Gordy immediately signed the young genius. Success was Wonder’s almost overnight. Stevie Wonder’s first album topped the Hot 100, R & B singles and album charts in the US. His popularity seemed to multiply with every album that hit the market. Both Innervisions (1973) and Fulfilingness (1975) won him four Grammys each. More record-breaking success came Wonder’s way with the catchy Part Time Lover. It became the first US single to top the US pop, R&B, adult-contemporary and dance-disco charts. Stevie Wonder has no match. In every decade since the sixties, he has created tracks that have stood the test of time. Stevie Wonder continues to create great music and tour the world.

1962Released his debut album, 'The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie'.
1963Achieved his first number-one hit with 'Fingertips, Pt. 2'.
1972Released the critically acclaimed album 'Talking Book', featuring hits like 'Superstition'.
1973Released 'Innervisions', earning him his first Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
1974Released 'Fulfillingness' First Finale', which also won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
1976Released 'Songs in the Key of Life', winning his third consecutive Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
2005Released his most recent studio album, 'A Time to Love'.
2025Announced as a headliner for BST Hyde Park in London.
