BIOGRAPHy

Randy and Jason Sklar began as one zygote and later guest starred in many TV shows, including an Emmy Award winning episode of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, the FX hit It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as well as Adult Swim’s Childrens’ Hospital. They starred as conjoined twins in a memorable episode of Grey’s Anatomy and as warring agents on HBO’s Entourage. They’ve also appeared in such films as Touchstone’s Wild Hogs, and Fox Atomic’s The Comebacks. They currently host the critically acclaimed History Channel docu-comedy that highlights the ways in which statistics tell the story of America called The United Stats of America. In November of 2006, Randy and Jason wrapped their 4th and final season of their cult classic comedy series, Cheap Seats on ESPN Classic. They also wrote and appeared in a regular segment on ESPN’s SportsCenter called, “The Bracket” from 2008 to 2009. In addition they regularly fill in as guest hosts for Jim Rome on his popular nationally syndicated radio show. As stand up comedians, they have starred in two half hour Comedy Central Presents specials. The Onion A.V. Club named their comedy CD Hendersons And Daughters in their Top 10 Comedy albums of 2011. Randy and Jason currently reside in Los Angeles, where they record their popular weekly sports comedy podcasts Sklarbro Country and Sklarbro County for earwolf.com.

Career Path

2002Launched 'Cheap Seats' on ESPN Classic, a riff-comedy series in which Randy and Jason played fictitious research assistants who mock obscure archival ESPN footage, borrowing the Mystery Science Theater 3000 format and earning a cult following that ran the show to 77 episodes.
2006Wrapped the fourth and final season of 'Cheap Seats' after filming 77 episodes, with the MST3K cast appearing in the season-two opener to mock the Sklars' hosting segments, a passing-of-the-torch moment between cult comedy franchises.
2007Starred as conjoined twins Peter and Jake Weitzman in a memorable episode of ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' and appeared in Touchstone's wide-release comedy film 'Wild Hogs,' extending their reach from cable cult status to mainstream audiences.
2008Wrote and performed 'The Bracket,' a recurring comedic segment on ESPN's 'SportsCenter,' running the feature through 2009 and reinforcing their dual identity as stand-up comedians who could fluently inhabit the sports-media world.
2011'Hendersons and Daughters' was named one of The Onion A.V. Club's Top 10 Comedy Albums of the year, the most authoritative critical recognition the brothers had received for their recorded stand-up work.
2014Recorded and released 'What Are We Talking About,' a one-hour stand-up special on Netflix, while hosting the History Channel docu-comedy series 'The United Stats of America,' which used statistics to recount American history.
2017Launched 'Dumb People Town' with co-host Daniel Van Kirk, a twice-weekly podcast that attracted enough attention for Sony to develop it as an animated narrative half-hour comedy co-starring Will Arnett for YouTube Premium.
2018Released 'Hipster Ghosts' on Starz and the companion live-taping collection 'Sklars & Stripes: The Tour Tapes,' delivering two recordings in the same year and showcasing the range between their polished special work and road material.
2023Hosted 'View from the Cheap Seats,' their long-running sports-comedy podcast on the Starburns Podcasting Network, while continuing to headline stand-up clubs and theaters nationwide as one of comedy's most durable twin acts.
2026Performed 'Tag It! with the Sklar Brothers' at Netflix Is A Joke Presents in Los Angeles and headlined the Moontower Comedy Festival in Austin, with five additional stand-up dates confirmed, sustaining a live-performance pace more than three decades into their career.
