The Tragically Hip, often referred to simply as The Hip, are from Kingston, Ontario. Since their formation in 1983, they’ve released 13 studio albums. Nine of their albums have reached number one in Canada. They have received numerous Canadian Music awards, including 14 Junos. They released Man Machine Poem in 2016. The Hip continue to tour and perform for large audiences everywhere.

| 1989 | Issued a 40th anniversary four-LP vinyl box set of 'Up to Here' via Universal Music Canada, reaching No. 1 on Canadian music sales charts. |
| 1992 | Released 'Fully Completely,' which sold over a million copies in Canada alone and produced the generation-defining track 'At the Hundredth Meridian,' cementing the Hip as the defining band of Canadian rock. |
| 1996 | 'Trouble at the Henhouse' featured 'Ahead by a Century,' the band's most commercially successful Canadian single and a perennial staple of national radio. |
| 2002 | Inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame at a ceremony at Massey Hall in Toronto, and a jukebox musical built around their catalog, 'It's a Good Life If You Don't Weaken', had its world premiere the same year. |
| 2016 | Released 'Man Machine Poem,' their thirteenth and final studio album, debuting at No. 1 in Canada; following Gord Downie's terminal brain cancer diagnosis, the band undertook a national farewell tour culminating in a final concert at Rogers K-Rock Centre in Kingston that drew millions of Canadian viewers on live television. |
