BIOGRAPHy

Shocking! A noted purveyor of shock comedy, Canadian Tom Green transformed his outrageous humor into TV stardom. The Tom Green Show landed on Canada’s Comedy Network and officially hit the big time when MTV bought it and began airing it in the U.S. in 1999. During its two years on MTV, the show garnered high ratings due to Green’s penchant for pushing the limits of taste. During Green’s MTV tenure, he moved to films with a small role in Superstar. Green’s antics as a nerdy college student – particularly placing a live mouse on his tongue – became one of the main draws of the raunchy teen hit Road Trip. After The Tom Green Show ended, Green turned his attention to his first movie vehicle, co-writing, directing, and starring in Freddy Got Fingered. More recent credits include both Shred movies and Comedy Bang! Bang!. Tom continues to work on projects and perform his hilarious comedy at events across North America. Tom Green is lots and lots of fun.

Career Path

2000Stole scenes as the memorable mouse-tonguing college student in the raunchy teen comedy 'Road Trip', one of the summer's biggest theatrical hits.
2001Co-wrote, directed, and starred in 'Freddy Got Fingered', the fully uncompromising first feature film he shepherded from concept to screen.
2019Launched 'The Tom Green Show' on public access television in Ottawa, building a regional following with boundary-pushing pranks before Comedy Network picked it up nationally.
2019MTV acquired 'The Tom Green Show' and began airing it in the United States, turning Green's taste-defying stunts into a late-night phenomenon that drew some of the network's highest ratings.
2019Became a naturalized American citizen, telling reporters "I'm tired of not voting, frankly," after two decades of living and working in the United States.
2020Outfitted a van as a mobile broadcast studio and launched the Audio Up podcast 'Van Life with Tom Green,' traveling the American Southwest and interviewing van lifers, scientists, and celebrities along the way.
2024Starred in 'The Trades', a Crave Original comedy series that became the No. 1 Canadian series on the platform that year, marking his first major scripted television lead since MTV.
2025Released the stand-up special 'Tom Green: I Got A Mule!', filmed live at Canada's National Arts Centre and distributed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video as part of an unprecedented three-project deal.
2025Embarked on the 31-city 'Stompin' Comedy Tour' across Canada and the United States, mixing stand-up, stories, and original country songs written at his Ontario farm.
2026Announced 'Tom Green's Funny Farm', a Crave Original variety series co-developed with Bell Media in which Green hosts comedians, celebrities, and rural experts at his Ontario farmstead.
