BIOGRAPHy

Jon Doronbos

Professional comedian and Pro Bowl football player Jon Dorenbos graduated from the University of Texas, El Paso, with a degree in Business. He was picked up by the Buffalo Bills as a free agent in 2003. He has since played for the Tennessee Titans and the Philadelphia Eagles for 14 seasons in the NFL. He hosts a television show with the Eagles and has won two Emmy Awards. He was awarded the ED Block Courage Award in 2008 which honors those National Football League players who exemplify commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. As a magician, Jon was a finalist in Season 11 of America’s Got Talent and also chosen for America’s Got Talent: The Champions. “I’ve been doing Magic since I was 13 years old.  I dig it.  I love magic. I was staying with friends in Woodinville, Washington and their neighbor was a magician.  He was a 16-year-old named Michael Groves.  That was the first time I had ever seen a magician perform. Cards, coins, sponge balls and fire.  What more do you need? Nothing… For me, it’s not just about the magic.  Magic is just a tool to develop a relationship with the audience.  It’s about having fun and rockin’ a crowd.  After I’m done performing, I hope my audience doesn’t think I’m a supernatural human. I hope they leave blown away and say to themselves, ‘That was just cool.’  Because for me, that’s what magic is all about, it’s just cool.”

2016Reached the finals of NBC's 'America's Got Talent' Season 11, finishing in the top tier among tens of thousands of contestants and earning a national audience for his close-up and sleight-of-hand magic.
2017Underwent emergency open-heart surgery after a preseason physical revealed a 60-millimeter aortic aneurysm following his trade to the New Orleans Saints, ending his NFL career.

2023Delivered the keynote address at the ABC Convention in Kissimmee, FL on March 15, part of an active corporate speaking calendar that by this point exceeded 1,000 live appearances for clients including AT&T, Boeing, and Marriott International.
