BIOGRAPHy

Total Soul is New York’s most exciting party band. Total Soul plays everything from Motown, to today’s pop and R&B, to the Jazz/Big Band standards of the 1940’s. They perform with the flair of a well-rehearsed show band, complete with front line choreography, exciting lead singers, hot horns, and a groovin’ rhythm section. Total Soul ranges in size from 8-13 pieces, and is a completely live band “live musicians.” Total Soul is the real deal- live musicians and extraordinary singers who will keep the dance floor full all night long! Still not convinced? Total Soul’s music includes a mix of four part vocal harmony. Their vocal front line will mesmerize audiences with slick dance moves and smooth harmonies. Each one of the front singers will be featured as a lead vocalist. They will supercharge a crowd with their extraordinary vocal expertise. They occasionally will go out to dance and sing in the audience, and may encourage members from the crowd to join them on stage. Total Soul will turn any event into a Disco Inferno simply by forming a Love Train on the dance floor. Career Path

2001Founded in New York City as a Motown-rooted live band modelled on the ensemble polish of The Four Tops and The Temptations, performing with a full horn section and choreographed front-line vocalists.
2001Built an 8-to-13-piece lineup of live musicians, rejecting computerized backing tracks in favor of four-part vocal harmony and a grooving rhythm section anchored by "hot horns".
2005Expanded the repertoire beyond Motown into pop, R&B, and Jazz/Big Band standards of the 1940s, positioning the band as a full-spectrum party band capable of anchoring any event format.
2008Established a signature floor-show move, forming a Love Train through the audience and inviting guests on stage, turning corporate galas and black-tie weddings into participatory dance events.
2010Became a staple of the New York City tri-state wedding and corporate event circuit, earning a reputation as the band most likely to keep a dance floor full from first dance through last call.
2012Grew regional profile through high-end gala bookings, performing at venues and functions across the East Coast with the full 13-piece production lineup.
2015Anchored the roster of Entertainment Unlimited and East Coast Entertainment booking agencies, reaching clients nationally through multiple exclusive representation deals.
2018Partnered with Hank Lane Music, one of New York's premier event entertainment agencies, expanding access to luxury wedding and corporate markets across the tri-state area.
2022Resumed full-production performances following the pandemic pause, delivering the complete choreographed show with lead singers, horn section, and audience-engagement numbers at major metropolitan events.
2024Continued headlining high-end weddings, galas, and corporate holiday parties across New York, delivering a setlist spanning Motown classics to contemporary R&B under their billing as the Greatest Soul Party in the Universe.
