BIOGRAPHy

Growing up in Montreal, Daniel Tirado first moved to New York city to study acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. After graduating from the conservatory, he decided to venture into stand-up comedy. After only 6 months of performing on stage, Daniel was invited to play at the world-renowned Montreal Just For Laughs Festival in 2005.  In 2010, Daniel was welcomed back, appearing in various shows including “Best Of The Fest” as well as a televised gala in the French division of the festival “Juste Pour Rire,” making him one of the very few comedians to work the event in both languages. The following year, in collaboration with JFL, Daniel was featured on a Spanish comedy special OMNI Presents Bilingual Stand-Up which aired across Canada on the OMNI TV network, making it his 3rd appearance at the festival. In 2013, Daniel made his American television debut showcasing his talent on AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live and was selected to perform as one of the top 10 finalists on StandUp NBC. Daniel now lives in New York and performs regularly at some of the most prestigious clubs in the city.

Career Path

2005Invited to perform at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival only six months into stand-up, one of the fastest invitations in the festival's history.
2010Welcomed back to Just For Laughs for a second run, appearing in 'Best of the Fest' and a televised gala on the French-language 'Juste Pour Rire', one of the few comedians to work the event in both official languages.
2011Taped a third Just For Laughs appearance for 'OMNI Presents Bilingual Stand-Up', which aired coast-to-coast across Canada on the OMNI TV network.
2013Made his American television debut on AXS TV's 'Gotham Comedy Live' and was selected as one of the Top 10 finalists at the StandUp NBC national showcase.
2018Performed a set on TruTV's 'Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks', broadening his national cable television footprint.
2019Appeared in an episode of Netflix's 'The Punisher', adding scripted television to his credits alongside his stand-up work.
2021Performed for Kevin Hart's LOL Network at Just For Laughs, his fourth appearance at the festival and first for a major streaming comedy brand.
2022Returned to the New York club circuit as a regular headliner at venues including New York Comedy Club and West Side Comedy Club.
2025Maintained an active bookings calendar at prestigious New York clubs while drawing on his bilingual material to reach Spanish- and French-speaking audiences.
