Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke formed in Atlanta, Georgia. For over two decades, the group – led by frontman and chief songwriter Charlie Starr alongside Paul Jackson (guitar), Richard Turner (bass), and Brandon Still (keyboards)—has blended hard rock, blues, country, and Americana into a signature roots-heavy sound. They achieved historic success as the first independent outfit to score a No. 1 album on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Over their career, they have released eight studio albums. Their most recent record, Be Right Here (2024), was produced by Grammy-winner Dave Cobb and debuted at the top of the Country, Americana/Folk, and Rock charts. The record carries themes of resilience, written around the time their founding drummer, Brit Turner, was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Tragically, Turner passed away in March 2024 at age 57. Throughout 2026, Blackberry Smoke has been actively celebrating their 25th anniversary. They have spent the year on the road for their massive Rattle, Ramble and Roll Tour across North America, pulling from a deep catalog of fan favorites like “One Horse Town”. They close out their monumental 2026 milestone with their annual Homecoming benefit in Atlanta and their curated High Tide Getaway destination festival in Mexico.
