BIOGRAPHy

Best-selling author Aziz Ansari – the creator, writer and star of Netflix’s Master of None – began his career in New York while attending NYU, where he frequently performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. In 2005, Ansari began collaborating to make short films. The next year, MTV green lit his sketch series, Human Giant, which debuted in April 2007. The critically acclaimed show completed two seasons. Ansari was then cast in NBC’s Parks and Recreation. He completed his third major tour of new material, Buried Alive, in the summer of 2013. His fourth major comedy special, Live at Madison Square Garden was released on Netflix in 2015. Aziz Ansari, a master at stand-up, continues to tour the globe and can make any event an unforgettable experience.

Career Path

2016He was included in the Time 100 list of most influential people in 2016.
2017Ansari hosted the January 21, 2017 episode of Saturday Night Live, becoming the first person of Indian origin to do so.
2018Ansari purchased an apartment in Tribeca, Downtown Manhattan in 2018 that had been owned by New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh for US$5.7 million.
2019In July 2019, Ansari released his fifth comedy special Aziz Ansari: Right Now, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
2020Production work began on a third season in early 2020 in London, but was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
2021In 2021, Netflix released Master of None Presents: Moments in Love, which Ansari wrote and directed.
2022In April 2022, production of the film was halted due to a complaint of inappropriate behavior by Murray on set.
2024Continued extensive live touring and regional performances across major US venues.
2025Scheduled to perform at prominent entertainment festivals and theater shows.
2026Expected to launch a nationwide historic tour highlighting legacy catalog.
