Yes, magic and comedy – that’s what this duo does! Together since 1975, Penn & Teller have been popular guests on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and “Live! with Regis & Kelly.” Penn & Teller have made dozens of other television appearances including, “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Today Show” and “Saturday Night Live.” Penn & Teller are also frequent guests on several popular television series, having appeared as Drell and Skippy in the hit ABC series “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch;” as attorneys Fenn & Geller on “The Drew Carey Show;” as well as appearances on “Friends,” “Dharma & Greg,” “Babylon 5,” “Home Improvement” and “The Simpsons.”Their PBS special, “Penn & Teller Go Public,” won two Emmys and the International Golden Rose. Other television projects have included the ABC special “Penn & Teller’s Home Invasion,” the Showtime movie “Penn and Teller’s Invisible Thread,” the NBC special “Don’t Try This At Home,” the PBS Children’s series “Behind The Scenes,” and “The Unpleasant World of Penn & Teller” and “Penn & Teller’s Phobophilia,” both for Britain’s Channel 4. Penn & Teller have written two best-selling books, “Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends” and “How To Play With Your Food.” Their newest book, “How To Play In Traffic,” is a collection of practical jokes, miracles and anecdotes, that makes travel funnier than ever. The duo were  named two of the funniest people alive in Entertainment Weekly’s “50 Greatest Comedians Today” issue. Recent credits include “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” “The Apprentice” and “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Penn & Teller a legendary innovators. They are a must see before they disappear.

Career Path

1975Formed their professional partnership, combining Penn Jillette's loud, outspoken persona with Teller's silent stage presence into one of magic's most distinctive double acts.
1985'Penn & Teller Go Public' on PBS won two Emmy Awards and the International Golden Rose, establishing the duo as television presences as formidable as their live act.
1987Began the first of three Broadway runs, bringing their signature blend of magic and confrontational comedy to New York theater audiences.
2001Opened their permanent Las Vegas residency at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino, a run that would stretch for more than two decades and redefine the headliner magic show.
2011Launched 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' on ITV, inviting magicians to perform illusions the duo could not identify, a format that would travel to The CW in 2015 and run for eleven seasons.
2014Nominated for a BAFTA Award for the documentary 'Tim's Vermeer', in which Penn produced and Teller directed the investigation of Dutch master Johannes Vermeer's painting techniques.
2020Nominated for an Olivier Award for their collaboration with Mischief Theatre on 'Magic Goes Wrong', a comedy play about magic acts catastrophically failing on stage.
2021Named two of Entertainment Weekly's '50 Greatest Comedians Today', affirming five decades of relevance across live performance, television, and film.
2025Celebrated 50 years of professional partnership with the 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us 50th Anniversary Special' on The CW, kicking off Season 11 of their long-running magic competition series.
2026Extended their Las Vegas residency at the Rio through at least the end of the year, with a Comic-Con panel '50 Years of Magic' underscoring their status as the longest-running headliner act in Vegas history.
