Country music singer and songwriter Jordan Davis is from Shreveport, Louisiana. Known for blending traditional country storytelling with contemporary pop and R&B influences, he has become a mainstay on country radio with eight No. 1 singles. Growing up in a musical family, Davis was influenced by his father, a songwriter, and his uncle, Stan Paul Davis, who wrote hits for Tracy Lawrence. Despite his deep musical roots, he initially pursued a different path, graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in environmental science. He briefly worked as an environmental consultant before his brother, fellow artist Jacob Davis, convinced him to move to Nashville in 2012. After years of bartending and honing his craft in Nashville, Davis signed with MCA Nashville in 2016. His 2017 debut single, “Singles You Up,” became a massive hit, eventually reaching 4× Platinum status. This success was followed by his debut album, Home State (2018), and the critically acclaimed Bluebird Days (2023). His career reached new heights with the 5× Platinum hit “Buy Dirt,” a collaboration with Luke Bryan that won Song of the Year at both the 2022 CMA Awards and 2023 NSAI Awards. Most recently, Davis released his third studio album, Learn the Hard Way (2025), featuring chart-toppers like “I Ain’t Sayin'” and “Bar None”. He continues to tour globally, recently supporting Luke Combs on international stadium dates.
