They’re big time! Big Time Rush started out as a fictional band on the hit Nickelodeon show of the same name. But pretty soon fans of the show wanted to see the guys perform for real. So just as Miley Cyrus embarked on a Hannah Montana tour, BTR hit the road to meet their fans! Launched in 2009, the show followed the fictional lives of four high school friends as they move to Los Angeles, sign a record deal, and become a chart-topping boy band. The series also incorporated original music into each episode, effectively turning the fictional band onscreen into a real group featuring actor/vocalists Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr., and Logan Henderson. As the first season drew to a close in 2010, Sony Music released the group’s first album, B.T.R. Met with generally positive reviews, it debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 album’s chart in the U.S.. In 2010, The band was nominated for “Favorite International Band” at the Australian Kids Choice Awards and in 2011 Again for “Favorite TV Show.” They released 24/Seven in 2013, and they continue to tour the globe.

Career Path

2010Nickelodeon launched the scripted series 'Big Time Rush,' following four high school friends who move to Los Angeles and sign a record deal, turning actor-vocalists Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr., and Logan Henderson into a real performing group.
2010Sony Music released the debut album 'B.T.R.' as Season 1 concluded; it debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and spawned singles 'Famous,' 'City Is Ours,' and 'Halfway There,' alongside a nomination for Favorite International Band at the Australian Kids' Choice Awards.
2011'Elevate' arrived with the single 'Boyfriend' and earned a second Australian Kids' Choice Awards nod for Favorite TV Show, confirming the group's international reach well beyond their U.S. fanbase.
2013Third studio album '24/Seven' dropped as the group took their show global, touring across multiple continents and proving the BTR fanbase extended well past the TV screen.
2021Seven years after going on hiatus, all four original members reunited and dropped 'Call It Like I See It', their first new recording together, then capped the year with sold-out shows in New York and Chicago.
2022The sold-out 'Forever Tour' launched across North America with Dixie D'Amelio as opening act, accompanied by new singles 'Honey,' 'Fall,' and 'Not Giving You Up.'
2023'Another Life', their first full studio album since the reunion, debuted with lead singles 'Can't Get Enough' and 'Waves,' backed by the 'Can't Get Enough Tour' that sold out 39 cities including the KIA Forum in Los Angeles and Jones Beach in New York.
2024Completed sold-out international runs across the UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia, then closed the year with 'Big Time Rush On Ice,' a first-of-its-kind skating and concert spectacle.
2025Launched the 'Big Time Rush In Real Life Worldwide' tour, a Live Nation-produced 50-plus-date run playing every song from every episode of the Nickelodeon series, many performed live for the first time.
