Calvin Harris fell in love with electronic music as a teenager and started posting his own songs online. He became famous in 2007 with his first album, I Created Disco, which had hit songs like “Acceptable in the 80s” and “The Girls”. His second album, Ready for the Weekend, came out in 2009 and went straight to number one on the UK charts. However, it was his third album, 18 Months, released in 2012, that made him a global superstar. That album broke records by having eight songs reach the top 10 in the UK, including big dance hits like “Feel So Close” and “Sweet Nothing”. He also made history as the first British solo artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify. Over the years, Calvin Harris has worked with many huge pop stars, releasing massive tracks like “Summer”, “This Is What You Came For” with Rihanna, and “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa. He also ran his own label, Fly Eye Records, and earned top spots on rich lists as one of the highest-paid DJs in the entire world. He won a Grammy Award in 2013 and remains a massive name in modern pop and electronic dance music. In September 2023, he married British television presenter Vick Hope. Today, he continues to headline giant music festivals and produce chart-topping hits that play on radios all around the globe.
