BIOGRAPHy

Andy Samberg is an alumus of comedy’s greatest springboard, “Saturday Night Live.” While a mainstay in sketches, Samberg is well known for their innovative series of “SNL Digital Shorts.” Samberg made his feature film debut in “Hot Rod.” He also lent his voice to the animated film “Space Chimps” alongside SNL castmate Kenan Thompson and starred in “I Love You, Man” opposite Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. In 2012, he starred in “That’s My Boy,” “Celeste and Jesse Forever” and “Hotel Transylvania.” He currently stars in the workplace sitcom “Brooklyn Nine Nine.” for which he won Golden Globe.Quite memorably, he hosted the Emmys in 2015. Career Path

2005Joined the cast and writing staff of 'Saturday Night Live,' where he and his Lonely Island collaborators Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone pioneered the SNL Digital Shorts format that redefined the show's comedy for a YouTube generation.
2007Won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the viral digital short 'Dick in a Box,' co-written with Justin Timberlake, one of SNL's most-shared videos.
2009Released The Lonely Island's debut album 'Incredibad' featuring the viral singles 'I'm on a Boat' and 'Jizz in My Pants,' cementing Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone as the architects of digital comedy rap.
2012Headlined three films in a single year, starring opposite Adam Sandler in 'That's My Boy,' alongside Rashida Jones in 'Celeste and Jesse Forever,' and voicing a lead role in the Sony animated franchise-starter 'Hotel Transylvania.'
2013Took the lead role of Detective Jake Peralta in Fox's workplace comedy 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' with creator Michael Schur building the show specifically around his comedic sensibility.
2014Won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy, for his performance in 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' and hosted the Emmy Awards the following year.
2020'Palm Springs,' produced by The Lonely Island and co-starring Cristin Milioti, set a Sundance acquisition record when Hulu purchased it, becoming a critically beloved indie comedy hit.
2021'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' concluded with its eighth and final season on NBC, closing eight years as the show's lead and executive producer.
2023Voiced Dale in The Lonely Island-produced 'Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers' for Disney+, reuniting with John Mulaney in a meta live-action/animated comedy that became one of the streamer's most-discussed originals.
2023Voiced Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider in Sony's 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' and starred alongside Kate Winslet in Ellen Kuras's WWII biographical drama 'Lee,' playing Life magazine photographer David Scherman in his first dramatic leading role.
2024Appeared as himself in Jake Johnson's Hulu comedy thriller 'Self Reliance' and announced 'The Robots Go Crazy,' an action-comedy for Amazon MGM directed by Radio Silence and produced through The Lonely Island's Party Over Here company.
