The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers are a DJ/duo consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. They achieved a breakthrough with their 2014 song, “#Selfie,” a top twenty single in several countries. Their debut EP, Bouquet, was released in 2015 and featured the single “Roses” which reached the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart. “Don’t Let Me Down,” a top 5 single, won a Grammy, and “Closer” became their first number one single. They have also won an American Music Award and five iHeartRadio Music Awards. The duo’s second EP, Collage, was released in 2016, followed by their debut studio album, Memories…Do Not Open, in 2017. The duo released “Paris” as their next international single which was certified gold in Canada and the US and has received over 270 million streams on Spotify alone as of March 2017. The Chainsmokers continue rolling out new music, including their 2026 Love is Kind EP and a high-profile collaborative single “All The Time” with John Summit. They are also maintaining a heavy international festival footprint, performing major sets at EDC Las Vegas, Parookaville, and announcing a major December 2026 tour across India (including Mumbai’s Sunburn Festival). Career Path

2014DJ/duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall broke into the mainstream with '#Selfie', which cracked the top 20 in several countries and established the pair as a viral force in electronic pop.
2015Released debut EP 'Bouquet' featuring 'Roses', which reached the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and announced the duo as a serious chart presence.
2016'Closer' featuring Halsey became their first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for 12 consecutive weeks and breaking the record for most weeks in the chart's top five.
2016Released second EP 'Collage' and collaborated with Daya on 'Don't Let Me Down', a top-5 hit that won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.
2017Released debut studio album 'Memories...Do Not Open'; the international single 'Paris' earned gold certification in both Canada and the US and surpassed 270 million Spotify streams within months of release.
2019Released third album 'World War Joy', which produced platinum-certified singles including 'This Feeling', 'Who Do You Love', 'Call You Mine', and 'Takeaway'.
2022Returned with fourth studio album 'So Far So Good' via Disruptor/Columbia Records, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and backed by a 91-date North American tour.
2024Teamed up with Kim Petras on the single 'Don't Lie' and released the EP 'No Hard Feelings', which included the collaboration 'Addicted' with Zerb and Ink.
2025Dropped the 8-track EP 'Breathe' via Sony Music, featuring singles 'Smooth', 'Helium', and 'White Wine and Adderall', expanding their sound into late-night electronic territory.
