BIOGRAPHy

Chicago City Limits relocated from Chicago to New York City in 1980. Over 8,500 shows later, they continue to delight Off-Broadway audiences with our unique show, which combines audience-inspired improvisation with topical sketch comedy. Chicago City Limits offers dynamic, customized entertainment and training programs for business clients. Their critically-acclaimed comedy revue, Chicago City Limits Without A Net, is performed Wednesday through Saturday at our theater in midtown Manhattan; it’s an ideal destination for any group. Shows are highly interactive, as we use audience suggestions to create comedy scenes and songs on the spot. Chicago City Limits perform sprivate shows for companies and organizations either at their midtown Manhattan theater or offsite. Prior to the performance, they learn all about your group – key people, clients, issues, etc. – and weave those details into totally customized show. Career Path

1977Founded in Chicago by George Todisco.
1979Moved to New York City, becoming a prominent improvisational troupe.
1980Opened its first dedicated theater on West 42nd Street.
1981Began a 14-year residency at the Jan Hus Playhouse.
1983Performed with guest Robin Williams.
1995Moved to a new theater at 1105 1st Avenue for a 9-year run.
