Kix Brooks

Kix Brooks found fame with Brooks & Dunn in the 1990s and the first decade of the 2000s, then returned with a solo career in 2012. Brooks recorded his first solo single, "Baby, When Your Heart Breaks Down," for Avion in 1983, but returned to songwriting after it barely made the charts. In 1989, he gave recording a second try, cutting an entire album for Liberty/Capitol. Kix Brooks failed to make the charts when it was released, but it was reissued all the same in 1994, once Brooks & Dunn had hit the big time. Moreover, the track "Sacred Ground" was later covered by McBride & the Ride for a hit. Following the end of Brooks & Dunn, Brooks remained on the Sony Nashville label group. In 2012, he delivered New to This Town. Brooks hosts a weekly countdown show for country radio stations, and he also produces and acts in films. This versatile performer is definitely someone to catch live.
