BIOGRAPHy

Dan + Shay is an American country music duo composed of vocalists Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney. They are signed to Warner Bros. Records Nashville and have released two albums. Where It All Began which produced three Top 40 singles on the country charts, came out in 2014. Dan + Shay was the opening act for Hunter Hayes on his We’re Not Invisible Tour, which began in March 2014 and then opened up for Blake Shelton on the 2014 leg of his Ten Times Crazier Tour. In 2016, they released their follow up effort, Obsessed. Their sophomore album features the singles, “From The Ground Up”, “How Not To” (which reached at number one on the Country Airplay chart in July 2017) and “Road Trippin.’” When they’re not recording, they’re on the road. Dan + Shay = good times!

Career Path

2013Launched their career with debut single '19 You + Me' on Warner Bros. Records Nashville, which was certified platinum.
2014Released debut album 'Where It All Began,' which debuted at number one on the country charts and produced three Top 40 singles, then opened for Hunter Hayes on the 'We're Not Invisible Tour' and for Blake Shelton on his 'Ten Times Crazier Tour.'
2016Followed up with sophomore album 'Obsessed,' featuring 'From the Ground Up' and 'How Not To,' with 'How Not To' reaching number one on the Country Airplay chart.
2018'Tequila' from their self-titled third album crossed 1.2 billion global streams and won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 61st Grammy Awards.
2019'10,000 Hours,' recorded with Justin Bieber, crossed one billion streams on Spotify and won the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 63rd Grammy Awards.
2021Won the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for 'Speechless' at the 63rd Grammy Awards, making Dan + Shay the first act to win the category in three consecutive years.
2021Released fourth studio album 'Good Things,' the first country album in streaming history to achieve RIAA Gold certification at release, led by the number one single 'Glad You Exist.'
2023Released fifth studio album 'Bigger Houses' and joined NBC's 'The Voice' Season 25 as the show's first-ever coaching duo, performing the album's title track during the live finale.
2024Headlined the 'Heartbreak on the Map Tour' across North America.
2025Released sixth studio album 'Young' on Warner Records Nashville and launched 'The Young Tour,' a 26-date North American run with support from Tyler Hubbard and Josh Ross.
