BIOGRAPHy

Dave Konig is a three time Emmy Award winning TV host and comedian. On TV, Dave Konig hosted HBO’s infamous late night comedy series Hardcore TV, and the cult hit talk show parody The Dave Konig Show for USA Network, and he won three Emmy Awards as host of NY Metro TV’s reality/comedy series Subway Q&A! He spends a large portion of his income on Emmy polish, keeping them nice and shiny in case company drops by. You’ve also seen Dave Konig on NBC’s Law And Order: Criminal Intent, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice and as a regular featured comic on NBC’s All Night With Joey Reynolds. Konig is in demand from casinos to cruise ships to the NY Friars Club. With his strong energy and classic delivery he’s been called “a throwback to Milton Berle” (NJ Newsroom) and “laugh out loud funny and lightning fast” (NY Times). He’s starred in his own hit Off Broadway solo shows – the comedy tour-de-force Addicted To Show Business, and the critically acclaimed Hebrew School Dropout, and he’s starred on Broadway as the dee-jay Vince Fontaine in the Tommy Tune revival of Grease.

Career Path

1990Hosted the cult talk-show parody 'The Dave Konig Show' on USA Network, earning a following for his high-energy, throwback-vaudeville persona.
1999Won three Emmy Awards as host of NY Metro TV's reality-comedy series 'Subway Q&A,' establishing him as one of New York's most-decorated TV personalities.
2002Hosted HBO's late-night comedy series 'Hardcore TV,' bringing his rapid-fire delivery and classic-comic sensibility to a premium cable audience.
2005Starred as DJ Vince Fontaine in Tommy Tune's Broadway revival of 'Grease,' proving his range extended from stand-up clubs to the Great White Way.
2010Off-Broadway debut of the solo show 'Hebrew School Dropout' at the Actors Temple Theater earned a rave from the New York Times, 'lightning fast, charming, insightful, and very, very funny.'
2013Followed with a second Off-Broadway solo show, 'Addicted to Show Business,' a satirical tour-de-force that critics called 'hilarious' for its insider skewering of the entertainment industry.
2018Appeared on Amazon's 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,' adding to a guest-star run that also included 'HBO's Boardwalk Empire,' 'NBC's Law and Order: Criminal Intent,' and 'NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.'
2021Launched the live cabaret act 'Konig and Finkel' with pianist Elliot Finkel at Don't Tell Mama in New York City, blending stand-up and music for sold-out nightclub audiences.
2023'Dave Konig: Adopt A Middle Aged Guy,' his debut Dry Bar Comedy special, surpassed two million views on release, bringing his casino-to-cruise-ship circuit fanbase to a national streaming audience.
