BIOGRAPHy

A Dutch trance music producer and DJ, Armin van Buuren is known for playing progressive trance and uplifting trance. He has won a number of accolades, including the #1 spot on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs fan poll a record of 5 times, including an unprecedented four consecutive years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. He is currently the #2 DJ on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll for 2013. Since 2001, Van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance, which has 20 million weekly listeners in 26 countries. This radio show propelled him to superstardom and garnered an intense following of trance fans around the world. His 2008 studio album, Imagine, entered the Dutch album chart at No. 1, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history. He released Mirage in 2010 and Intense in 2013. Wildly popular, Armin van Buuren performs all over the globe.

2001Launched 'A State of Trance' weekly radio show, which grew to reach nearly 40 million listeners in 84 countries.
2003Released debut studio album '76' and began rising as a top international DJ.
2008Released 'Imagine' and was voted number one DJ in the world by DJ Mag for the third consecutive year.
2013Released 'Intense' which became his highest-charting album worldwide.
2015Celebrated the landmark 'A State of Trance 750' episode with a world tour of arena events.
2019Released 'Balance' featuring collaborations across multiple electronic genres.
2024Released ninth studio album 'Breathe In' inspired by his reconnection with fans on the dance floor.
2025Released 'Breathe Out' completing the full 51-track 'Breathe' album with collaborators including David Guetta and Hardwell.
2026Launched a multi-country tour with dates in Boston, Washington DC, Dallas, and Las Vegas.
