Career Path

2001Michael Pickering cast Amy in 'Sundiata, The Lion King of Mali,' sparking both a creative partnership and a romance that became the foundation of their dueling pianos act.
2003Married and formalized their performing partnership, combining backgrounds in musical theatre, film, and concert performance into a show that spans Beethoven to Billy Joel, Gershwin to Garth Brooks, and Andrew Lloyd Webber to AC/DC.
2005Broke through in the national corporate market with bookings for clients including PETCO, AFLAC, Rolls-Royce, MasterCard International, and Wells Fargo, establishing the act as a reliable headline draw for large-scale events.
2008Performed at Carnegie Hall, the Guggenheim, and the Bellagio, placing their family-friendly comedy-and-virtuosity format on the same stages as classical and prestige entertainment.
2011Self-released a studio album distributing high-quality audio recordings of their most-requested material, giving audiences a keepsake from the live show.
2015Surpassed 2,000 performances nationally and internationally for theatres, concert halls, cruise ships, corporations, and ministry outreach events, cementing their status as one of the most-booked dueling piano acts in the country.
2020Launched free community music lessons when COVID-19 halted live performance; the grassroots response grew into Pickering Creative Artists Academy, a commercial studio offering music, theatre, and dance education.
