BIOGRAPHy

Gwen Stefani
Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and fashion icon Gwen Stefani literally redefined female artistry in the 1990s and 2000s. Raised in Anaheim, she began her musical journey as a teenager when her brother Eric invited her to provide vocals for his ska band, No Doubt. After years of performing in the underground scene, the band achieved global superstardom with their 1995 album, Tragic Kingdom. Stefani’s distinctive vocals and rebellious style—often featuring her signature red lipstick and platinum hair—became the face of hits like “Just a Girl” and the heart-wrenching “Don’t Speak”. In 2004, Stefani launched a solo career that leaned heavily into pop and dance-rock with the album Love. Angel. Music. Baby.. It produced the massive hit “Hollaback Girl,” which became the first digital single to sell over one million copies in the U.S.. Her success continued with solo albums like The Sweet Escape (2006) and This Is What the Truth Feels Like (2016), her first solo No. 1 album.Stefani is a formidable entrepreneur, having founded the fashion line L.A.M.B. and GXVE Beauty. She is also widely known as a long-standing coach on NBC’s The Voice, where she met her husband, country star Blake Shelton. With three Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Stefani remains a vibrant cultural force, most recently releasing her fifth studio album, Bouquet, in late 2024.
