BIOGRAPHy

Formed in Nashville in 2005, Hot Chelle Rae’s debut album, Lovesick Electric, was released in 2009. Hot Chelle Rae released their second studio album, Whatever, in 2011. It reached number 48 on the U.S. Billboard 200, 25 in Australia and 21 in New Zealand. The first single taken from the album, “Tonight Tonight,” became a worldwide success, reaching the top ten of charts in Australia, Canada and Japan, whilst reaching number seven on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The second single, “I Like It Like That,” (featuring New Boyz) reached the top ten in New Zealand, the top twenty in Australia and Japan, and number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Hung Up” was released in 2013, their first single from their upcoming third album, set to be released any day. Hot Chelle Rae continues to impress audiences everywhere.

Career Path

2005Founded in Nashville, uniting Nash Overstreet and Jamie Follese around a pop-rock sound built for arenas.
2009Released debut album 'Lovesick Electric', establishing the band's hook-driven rock identity and attracting early radio traction.
2011Broke through with 'Tonight Tonight', which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100, went double platinum, and cracked the top ten in Australia, Canada, and Japan.
2011Won the American Music Award for New Artist of the Year on the strength of 'Tonight Tonight' and the follow-up 'I Like It Like That' (featuring New Boyz), which hit number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100.
2011Released second album 'Whatever' on RCA Records, reaching number 48 on the U.S. Billboard 200, number 25 in Australia, and number 21 in New Zealand.
2013Put out 'Hung Up', the first single signaling a third studio album and keeping the band's momentum alive on pop and rock radio.
2019Returned after a five-year recording gap with 'I Hate LA', reclaiming their pop-rock niche with a self-aware anthemic sound.
2020Released the 'Tangerine' EP featuring 'Stay', 'Too Much', and 'Tomorrow Me', signaling a renewed run of independent releases.
2021Dropped 'Do the Damn Thing' featuring Chord Overstreet and LEVI, extending the post-'Tangerine' momentum into a second year of new output.
2022Issued the single 'Stupid Song', sustaining a steady run of indie releases and maintaining the band's audience ahead of touring activity.
