BIOGRAPHy

In 1999, she formed the Jennifer Nettles Band, with which she released three studio albums and two live albums. In 2003, Nettles teamed up with Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush to form Sugarland. Sugarland was nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2006. A duet with Bon Jovi, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” reached No. 1 on the Hot Country Singles chart. In 2006, Hall left the group and Nettles and Bush continued on as a duo, releasing Enjoy the Ride in 2006. Their third album, Love on the Inside, was released in 2008. Sugarland received three Grammy nominations and performed on the 51st Annual Grammys, winning awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group. Nettles first solo single, “That Girl”, was released in 2013 and the album, also titled That Girl, was released in January 2014. In 2016, Jennifer Nettles dropped two albums Playing with Fire and To Celebrate Christmas. Jennifer Nettles continues to knock it out of the park on the road.

 

Career Path

1999Founded the Jennifer Nettles Band in Atlanta, releasing three studio albums and two live records before pivoting to Nashville and country music.
2003Co-founded Sugarland with Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush, earning a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist within three years.
2006Scored a number-one country hit with the Bon Jovi duet 'Who Says You Can't Go Home', taking home the Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals.
2008Sugarland's third album 'Love on the Inside' earned three Grammy nominations and the duo performed at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards, winning Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group.
2014Released debut solo album 'That Girl' after the lead single topped country airplay charts, branching her career beyond Sugarland for the first time.
2016Dropped two projects back to back, the rock-inflected 'Playing with Fire' and the holiday collection 'To Celebrate Christmas', showcasing her range across genres.
2021Recorded 'Always Like New' for Concord Records, a genre-defying album of American Songbook classics that stretched far beyond her country roots.
2023Hosted the Fox reality dating series 'Farmer Wants a Wife' through its first two seasons, reaching a prime-time network audience outside the music world.
2024Reunited with Kristian Bush for a Sugarland comeback tour with Little Big Town, backed by new music on Big Machine Records including their 'There Goes the Neighborhood' EP.
2025Announced the world premiere of her self-written original musical 'Giulia: The Poison Queen of Palermo' at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in New York, with direction by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman.
