An actor and comedian, Gaffigan is known for his TV Land series The Jim Gaffigan Show, based on his life. He auditioned for The Late Show with David Letterman for six years, finally appearing on it in 1999, launching his career. His many screen credits include guest and starring spots on Sex and the City, Ed, That 70’s Show, Rick and Morty, and on Saturday Night Live, on which he played Tim Walz. He has received an Emmy Award and has been nominated for eight Grammys. Gaffigan appeared on Broadway in That Championship Season opposite Brian Cox. Gaffigan is a stand-up legend whose comedy largely focuses on fatherhood, laziness, food, and general observations. Known as a “clean comic,” his work, his comedy specials, including Mr. Universe, Obsessed, Cinco, and Quality Time, have all received Grammy nominations.
