BIOGRAPHy

Country music star Joe Nichols has produced an abundance of Top 40 singles, including the Number One singles “Brokenheartsville,” “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Gimmie That Girl,” “Sunny and 75” and the RIAA-certified gold single, “Yeah.” In October 2012, Nichols signed to Red Bow, a new partnership of Broken Bow Records. On April 22, 2013, “Sunny and 75” premiered exclusively online at AOL’s The Boot. It peaked at Number One on the Country Airplay chart in December 2013 and was certified gold by the RIAA for single sales in excess of 500,000 digital downloads. The album’s second single, “Yeah,” was released to country radio on January 27, 2014. It reached Number One on the Country Airplay chart in July 2014. He’s releasing Never Gets Old in 2017. Joe Nichols continues to tour the country.

 

Career Path

2002Signed with Universal South Records and released 'Man with a Memory', a platinum-certified album whose single 'The Impossible' crossed over to the pop Top 30.
2003'Brokenheartsville' reached No. 1 on the country chart, earning the album a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album and establishing Nichols as a traditionalist force on mainstream radio.
2005Released 'III', anchored by the smash 'Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off', which became one of the most-played country singles of the year and a perennial crowd favorite.
2010'Gimme That Girl' reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, his third career chart-topper, cementing a decade of consistent Top 10 output.
2012Signed to Broken Bow Records' Red Bow imprint, a move that re-anchored his label home and led directly to his strongest commercial stretch of the decade.
2013Released 'Crickets' on Red Bow, with lead single 'Sunny and 75' premiering at AOL's The Boot before climbing to No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart and earning RIAA gold certification.
2013'Yeah' became his fifth No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart, making Nichols one of a small group of country artists to land five chart-toppers across three different labels.
2022Released 'Good Day for Living', his tenth studio album, and launched a 26-date national tour of the same name, reintroducing himself to fans after a five-year gap between full-length projects.
2024Released 'Honky Tonks and Country Songs', his eleventh studio album, featuring the Annie Bosko duet 'Better Than You', his highest-charting Country Airplay entry since 2022.
2024Supported 'Honky Tonks and Country Songs' with dates across 30 cities including Nashville, Austin, and Los Angeles, keeping his traditionalist sound front and center for both longtime and new fans.
