BIOGRAPHy

Journey is one of the most popular American rock bands of all time, creating some of the best-known songs in modern music. They have continued to tour and record into the 21st century and have never stopped creating vital music. Since the group’s formation in 1973, the band has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold and platinum albums. The band’s Greatest Hits album is certified 15 times platinum, bringing Journey into the elite club of Diamond-certified album holders. Journey unleashed Eclipse in 2011, featuring the line-up of Neal Schon (guitars, backing vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Ross Valory (bass, backing vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Arnel Pineda (lead vocals). Yes, the journey continues for Journey, and they continue to rock venues all over the world.

Career Path

1973Journey is formed in San Francisco.
1975Released their self-titled debut album, 'Journey'.
1978Released 'Infinity,' their first album featuring Steve Perry as lead vocalist.
1981Released the breakthrough album 'Escape,' which included hits like 'Don't Stop Believin''.
1983Released the album 'Frontiers'.
1998Steve Perry officially departed from the band.
2007Arnel Pineda joined as the new lead singer.
2017Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
2023Began their 50th Anniversary Freedom Tour, continuing into 2025.
