Katie Hannigan

Katie Hannigan is a stand-up comic, actor and writer. Her stand-up has been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, Just For Laughs New Faces, The Late Late Show with James Cordon and MTV.  Her debut album “Feeling of Emptiness” was named Ten Best of 2022 by the Interrobang. Katie has appeared in That Damn Michael Che, Succession, PBSkids and many indie films and sketches. Katie’s writing credits include the original series  Death Hacks starring Thomas Middleditch and Kristen Schaal for Augenblick Studios. Katie hosts the popular podcast “Lady Journey” with comedian Sarah Tollemache.  

Career Path

2015Stand-up featured on MTV's 'Obsessed', bringing her NYC club material to a national cable audience.
2018Selected for Just for Laughs New Faces in Montreal, one of the industry's most competitive showcases for emerging comics.
2019Stand-up aired on Comedy Central, adding a major comedy network credit to her growing TV resume.
2019Wrote the original animated series 'Death Hacks' for Augenblick Studios, starring Thomas Middleditch and Kristen Schaal.
2020Made her late-night network debut with a set on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, then performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden the same cycle.
2021Launched the 'Lady Journey' podcast with comedian Sarah Tollemache, building a dedicated listenership around the candid realities of touring stand-up life.
2022Released debut comedy album 'Feeling of Emptiness', self-produced across 19 tracks and recorded in her home state of Indiana, then earned a spot on Interrobang's Ten Best Comedy Albums of 2022.
2022Appeared in HBO's 'That Damn Michael Che' and the acclaimed drama series 'Succession', expanding her screen resume alongside her stand-up work.
2025Headlined the Comedy Nest in Montreal and performed at the Vail Comedy Festival, reinforcing her standing on the festival circuit as a top-billed act.
