BIOGRAPHy

Lana Del Rey broke through with the release of her single, “Video Games,” in 2011. Lana Del Rey released an EP in 2008, entitled Kill Kill and in January 2010, released a full length album. In June 2011, Lana Del Rey signed to Stranger Records, who are also home to Thomas Tantrum and Penguin Prison. However, when her debut single, “Video Games,” was released, she then signed to Interscope Records. She said at the time that “Video Games” was her favorite track, hence posting it online, but it was not originally intended to be the lead single. Media attention surrounding Del Rey began to snowball and by the end of October 2011, Q magazine announced that she would be the recipient of their “Next Big Thing” award. She promoted the single with a number of live performances, including playing the Bowery Ballroom in New York and on MTV Push. Born to Die was released in January 2012, after the title track became the second single. In January, she appeared on Saturday Night Live. She released Honeymoon in 2015. Lana Del Rey continues to tour the globe.

2014Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys produced 'Ultraviolence', which debuted at number one in 12 countries including the UK, signaling a harder, guitar-driven pivot from her debut.
2017'Lust for Life' reached number one in the UK, her third chart-topper there, featuring collaborations with The Weeknd, Stevie Nicks, and A$AP Rocky.
2019'Norman Fucking Rockwell!' received Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Song of the Year, with critics placing it among the decade's best American records.
2021Issued two studio albums in a single year, 'Chemtrails over the Country Club' and 'Blue Banisters', with 'Chemtrails' becoming her seventh consecutive US top-ten album.
2023Released 'Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd', her ninth studio album, to widespread critical acclaim, then headlined major festival stages including Glastonbury.
2024Headlined Coachella, performing the title track of 'Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd' live, cementing her standing as one of the most in-demand outdoor festival headliners in the world.
