Lea Michele stars as Rachel Berry on Fox’s smash hit, “Glee.”At just 8 years old, Lea Michele made her Broadway debut as “Young Cosette” in Les Misérables. Since then, Lea Michele has shared the stage with Broadway greats Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell in Ragtime, as well as Alfred Molina and the 20th anniversary cast of Fiddler on the Roof. Best known on Broadway for her role as Wendla in the Tony Award-winning production of Spring Awakening, Lea Michele was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical.Lea Michele has also performed at Radio City Music Hall during the Tony Awards with the casts of Spring Awakening, Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof. Lea Michele is featured on the cast recordings of these productions. Lea Michele has performed solo concerts to sold-out crowds at Feinstein’s in New York and at the Upright Cabaret in Los Angeles.On the small screen, Lea Michele has appeared on Third Watch and Guiding Light. Lea Michele continues to tour all over the world.

Career Path

1995Made her Broadway debut at age 8 as Young Cosette in 'Les Miserables', launching a stage career that would span three decades.
1998Shared the stage with Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell in 'Ragtime', appearing on the original Broadway cast recording.
2006Originated the role of Wendla in the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of 'Spring Awakening', earning a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical.
2009Landed the starring role of Rachel Berry in Fox's 'Glee', the musical dramedy that turned her into a household name and generated multiple chart-topping soundtrack albums.
2014Released debut solo album 'Louder' on Columbia Records, debuting in the top 5 on the Billboard 200.
2019Released the holiday album 'Christmas in the City', performed solo concerts to sold-out crowds at Feinstein's in New York and the Upright Cabaret in Los Angeles.
2022Replaced Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of 'Funny Girl' at the August Wilson Theatre, earning the first major revival of the role since Barbra Streisand originated it in 1964.
2023'Funny Girl' broke multiple box office records under her lead, and TIME named her to its 100 Most Influential People list; she also made her Carnegie Hall debut, selling out the Stern Auditorium.
2025Cast as Florence Vassy in the Broadway revival of 'Chess' opposite Tony winner Aaron Tveit at the Imperial Theatre, with the production earning five 2026 Tony Award nominations.
2026Completed her run as Florence in 'Chess' after more than 250 performances, closing at the Imperial Theatre in a production that earned the cast album release.
