BIOGRAPHy

Maddie & Tae is an American female country music duo composed of Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye, both of whom are singers, songwriters, and guitarists. Their debut album, Start Here, was released in August, 2015 and includes the singles: “Girl in a Country Song,” “Fly,” “Shut Up and Fish” and “Sierra”. In 2017, Maddie and Tae appeared on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 – Music list at #20. They received two nominations for the 52nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards, including Vocal Duo of the Year.  Later that year, is was announced that Maddie & Tae had signed with UMG Nashville. Maddie & Tae continue to work the road and take the country music industry by storm.

 

Career Path

2014'Girl in a Country Song,' Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye's satirical debut single, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and announced a duo willing to push back on Nashville cliches from the very start.
2015Debut album 'Start Here' arrived on Mercury Nashville featuring singles 'Fly,' 'Shut Up and Fish,' and 'Sierra,' establishing the pair as a full-band act, not just a novelty act built on one viral song.
2017Forbes placed Maddie & Tae at No. 20 on its 30 Under 30 Music list; the duo also received two nominations at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards, including Vocal Duo of the Year, before signing with UMG Nashville.
2020Second album 'The Way It Feels' arrived on UMG Nashville, powered by 'Die from a Broken Heart,' a mother-daughter heartbreak ballad that became the duo's second No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
2022Third studio album 'Through the Madness' rolled out across two volumes, expanding the duo's range and earning them Group/Duo Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards for 'Woman You Got.'
2024Headlined the Here's to Friends Tour across multiple spring and summer dates, wrapping the run, then scored a CMA Vocal Duo of the Year nomination before releasing the six-song EP 'What a Woman Can Do'.
2025Fourth studio album 'Love & Light' dropped on Mercury Nashville featuring 16 tracks, supported by a five-city headline run through New York, Chicago, Nashville, Denver, and Los Angeles.
