Denver based Singer and songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff, whose influences are described as folk, Americana and vintage rhythm & blues, has performed with a backing band called the Night Sweats for an R&B side project he formed in 2013. He has released three solo albums, two solo EPs, and one album as Nathaniel Rateliff & the Wheel. In early February  2021, Nathaniel appeared ion Saturday Night Live .  His two-song set included the recently released “Redemption” and “A Little Honey” off of Tearing at the Seams. On November 5, 2021, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats released their third studio album, The Future, via Stax Records In support of the album, Sirius XM The Spectrum introduced Night Sweats Radio with Nathaniel Rateliff which debuted October 22, 2021 airing new episodes every Friday. Rateliff’s status as a generational standard-bearer reached new heights following the band’s acclaimed fourth studio LP, South of Here (2024). The record earned Album of the Year honors at the 2025 Americana Honors & Awards and propelled them to a historic sold-out show at Madison Square Garden.

Career Path

2010Released the solo debut 'In Memory of Loss', staking out the Denver singer-songwriter's place in the folk and Americana world with spare, emotionally direct arrangements.
2013Founded the Night Sweats as a vintage R&B side project and released 'Falling Faster Than You Can Run', adding a groove-driven dimension to his solo folk catalog.
2015The self-titled Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats debut announced the band to a mass audience, with 'S.O.B.' becoming a breakout rock radio and streaming hit.
2018Released 'Tearing at the Seams', the Night Sweats' second album, which produced 'A Little Honey' and deepened the band's reputation for Southern soul-inflected rock.
2020Issued the solo album 'And It's Still Alright', a quieter, more introspective record produced in a completely different mode from the Night Sweats' full-band sound.
2020Made his Saturday Night Live debut performing 'Redemption' and 'A Little Honey', then launched Sirius XM's Night Sweats Radio with a dedicated weekly channel debuting that October.
2021Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats released their third studio album 'The Future' via Stax Records, earning widespread praise for its expansive, horn-driven soul arrangements.
2023Remastered and reissued 'Desire and Dissolving Men', a fan-favorite early solo album originally recorded on an eight-track in his living room, with the first vinyl press selling out quickly.
2024'South of Here', the Night Sweats' fourth studio album on Stax Records, received a Metacritic score of 78 and included headlining dates at Madison Square Garden during the supporting tour.
2025Extended the South of Here tour into a second year with West Coast, Northeast, and Canadian dates alongside special guest Mavis Staples, capping the album cycle with some of the band's largest headline shows.
