Peter Frampton

BIOGRAPHy

Through his musical composition, guitar genius, and emblematic live performances, very few artists have contributed more to the rock genre than Peter Frampton. His first major band, Humble Pie, was formed with ex-Small Faces leader Steve Marriott. Frampton soon left the band and released his first solo LP, “Wind Of Change.” 1976 was the year Frampton broke out with the two-disc smash “Frampton Comes Alive,” which was one of the decade’s best sellers. Peter Frampton followed with the studio album “I’m In You” and starred in the film “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” The ’80s saw “Breaking All the Rules” and “The Art of Control.” He returned in 1986 with “Premonition” – getting substantial rock radio airplay for the cut “Lying.” He recorded another new album “When All the Pieces Fit” in 1989. In 1995, he issued the newly recorded live album “Frampton Comes Alive II” on IRS. During the late ’90s, he recorded and toured with Bill Wyman & the Rhythm Kings and Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band. Frampton’s first DVD, “Live in Detroit,” was released in 2000. His first studio album in nine years, Now, arrived in 2004. It was followed in 2006 by the all-instrumental “Fingerprints.” In 2010, Frampton released “Thank You Mr. Churchill.” He continues to tour the world.
