American singer/songwriter Vicci Martinez is from Tacoma, Washington. She made her debut in 2000 with the release of the album, VMB. A second album, Sleep to Dream, followed in 2003. After the 2005 release of her third album, On My Way, Martinez went on tour and released a full-length concert DVD and documentary in 2006 titled “Vicci Martinez Live.” Martinez won the regional tryouts for the first season of “American Idol,” but declined the invite to the second round due to her belief that the contract was too restrictive. She later appeared on CBS's 2003 season of “Star Search.” Her album, I Could Be a Boxer, was issued in 2007 and From the Outside In came in 2009. In 2010, Martinez’s album, I Love You in the Morning, was released and a second live album, Live From Jazzbones, followed in 2011. Also in 2011, Martinez competed on the NBC talent show, “The Voice.” Martinez came in first place on judge Cee Lo Green's team and represented him in the final round. She finished third overall. In 2011, after her appearance on The Voice, Martinez signed a record deal with Universal Rebublic. Her EP, Come Along, was released in 2012, followed by her Universal Republic album debut, Vicci, that same year. In 2015, she released I Am Vicci. Vicci continues to tour the world with tremendous success.
