Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles was born and raised in Houston, Texas with her older sister, Beyonce Knowles. Showing an interest in music recording at an early age, she eventually broke into the music scene at 16. She has released three studios albums: Solo Star in 2003,Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams in 2008 and True in 2012. Solange is hard at work on a new album, and she's expected to release it very soon. Solange Knowles continues to tour the globe. Her third studio album, A Seat at The Table (2016) was released to widespread critical acclaim and became her first number-one album in the United States. The album's lead single, "Cranes in the Sky" won the Grammy for Best R&B Performance. Her fourth studio album, When I Get Home, was released in 2019. She has been ranked by Billboard as the 100th most successful dance artist of all-time, and in 2017 was honored with the "Impact Award" at Billboard Women in Music.
