Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers have been playing music all their lives, but didn't become the band by that name until 2000. In 2002, The Avett Brothers in their current incarnation emerged. Their debut album, Country Was, was released early that year and since then, The Avett Brothers have toured religiously, building a solid following wherever they go. They were nominated for several Americana Music Awards in 2007 and reached a new level of popularity with Emotionalism, their first album to make a dent on the Billboard charts. 2009's I and Love and You served as their major-label debut. The album peaked at number 16, by far the band's highest chart placement to date. In 2011, The Avett Brothers received an invitation to perform alongside Bob Dylan and Mumford & Sons at the Grammy Awards, and in 2012, they released The Carpenter. The Carpenter was greeted with good reviews and debuted at number four on the Billboard Top 200 on its way to a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album. In 2013, The Avett Brothers released Magpie and the Dandelion. True Sadness followed in 2016. The Avett Brothers continue to tour the world!
