Canadian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Alessia Cara is definitely on the rise. After producing acoustic covers, she signed with EP Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings in 2014 and released her debut single the following year. “Here” reached number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and was a sleeper hit in the United States, peaking at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. bCara’s debut studio album, Know-It-All), reached number 8 on the Canadian Albums Chart and number 9 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. The album’s third single, “Scars to Your Beautiful”, reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016. In 2017, Cara collaborated with DJ and producer Zedd to create the single “Stay”, and with rapper Logic to feature in his song “1-800-273-8255”. Cara has received nominations for four Grammy Awards, including a win for Best New Artist in 2018. She was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year at the 2019 Latin Grammys for his collaboration with Juanes on “Querer Mejor”. 2018Won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, becoming the first Canadian artist to win that honor, with 'The Pains of Growing' also in release that year featuring singles 'Growing Pains' and 'Trust My Lonely.'
2019Joined Colombian rock star Juanes on the Spanish-language duet 'Querer Mejor,' earning Latin Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year and performing the song at the ceremony where Juanes was named Person of the Year.
2021Released third album 'In the Meantime,' drawing on R&B and experimental production with producers including Jon Levine.
2024Previewed a new artistic direction with lead single 'Dead Man' and the John Mayer guitar-featuring promotional single '(Isn't It) Obvious.'
2025Released fourth studio album 'Love and Hyperbole' to universal critical acclaim, then launched the 'Love and Hyperbole Tour,' her third concert tour, spanning North America, Asia, and Europe across the year.
2025Expanded 'Love and Hyperbole' with a deluxe edition featuring additional tracks, released.
