The Killers started rocking in 2003. The band has sold over 25 million albums, had over 1 billion video views and have received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple GRAMMY nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Music Video awards, NME awards and more. The group's 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss, brought the band mainstream success. Hot Fuss reached number one in the U.K. and was certified 6-times platinum by the BPI. It has also been certified 3-times platinum in the U.S.. The band also had chart success with its singles "Mr. Brightside," which reached the Top 10 in the U.K. and U.S. and is the longest charting single on the UK Singles chart of all time at 208 weeks. The Killers' second album, Sam's Town, was released in 2006 and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The record has been certified 4-times platinum in the U.K. and platinum in the U.S.. The album produced four singles, “When You Were Young,” “Bones,” “Read My Mind” and “For Reasons Unknown.” Their third studio album, Day & Age, has been certified multi-platinum or platinum in the U.K., Ireland, Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Spain. The album debuted at number one on the U.K. Albums chart and it reached number six in the U.S. TV appearances include SNL, GMA, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Myers, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Ellen, James Corden. The Killers continue to tour the world and attract new fans.
