Americana singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham’s music is deeply rooted in the rugged landscapes of the American West. Born in New Mexico and raised across Texas, Ryan spent his youth living a nomadic lifestyle, working on ranches and riding bulls in professional rodeos. This authentic cowboy upbringing heavily inspired his gritty, poetic songwriting style and his distinctively weathered, raspy voice. Ryan began playing guitar in roadhouses and bars, eventually moving to Los Angeles and releasing his acclaimed debut album, Mescalito, in 2007. His career reached a historic milestone when he collaborated with producer T Bone Burnett on the soundtrack for the film Crazy Heart. Ryan wrote and performed the film’s theme song, “The Weary Kind,” which earned him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy Award, launching him into acoustic music royalty. He has since released a string of critically praised albums, including Junkyard Star and American Love Song, known for their honest stories of hardship, love, and travel. Ryan gained an entirely new wave of mainstream fame when he joined the cast of the wildly popular television drama series Yellowstone. He plays Walker, a guitar-strumming cowboy, allowing him to showcase his authentic musical talents to millions of viewers weekly. Ryan continues to tour the country, delivering powerful, heartfelt live performances.
