BIOGRAPHy

American hard rock band Shinedown is from Jacksonville, Florida and was formed in 2001 by members Brent Smith (vocals), Brad Stewart (bass), Jasin Todd (guitar) and Barry Kerch (drums). A few lineup changes have followed, with the band’s current lineup consisting of Smith and Kerch, the band’s only two remaining original members – with guitarist Zach Myers, and bassist/pianist Eric Bass. Since Shinedown’s inception, they have released five albums: Leave a Whisper (2003), Us and Them (2005), The Sound of Madness (2008), Amaryllis (2012) and Threat to Survival (2015). They have sold more than 6 million albums worldwide. They continue to rock the world.

Career Path

2003Founded in Jacksonville, Florida by Brent Smith, Brad Stewart, Jasin Todd, and Barry Kerch, the band released debut album 'Leave a Whisper', earning platinum certification and launching singles '45' and 'Fly from the Inside.'
2005Released 'Us and Them', broadening their audience with singles 'Save Me' and 'I Dare You' while clocking over 6 million worldwide album sales across their catalog.
2008'The Sound of Madness' delivered 'Second Chance', one of the band's signature ballads, and anchored a lineup that now consists of Smith, Barry Kerch, Zach Myers, and Eric Bass.
2012'Amaryllis' debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, with 'Bully' and 'Unity' extending their run of Top 5 Mainstream Rock hits.
2015Released 'Threat to Survival' via Atlantic Records, yielding No. 1 Mainstream Rock singles 'Cut the Cord' and 'State of My Head' and pushing their total album sales past 6 million worldwide.
2022'Planet Zero' opened at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, topped all four Billboard rock album charts in its first week, and became the band's first No. 1 on the all-genre Top Album Sales chart.
2022Title track 'Planet Zero' spent eight weeks at No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Songs, becoming their 17th chart-topper and breaking their tie with Three Days Grace for the most No. 1s in chart history.
2024'A Symptom of Being Human' reached No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay, giving Shinedown their 20th leader on the chart and further widening their all-time record.
2025'Killing Fields' extended their Mainstream Rock Airplay record to 21 No. 1s, two ahead of every other act in chart history.
2026Released eighth studio album 'EI8HT' via Atlantic Records and launched the 54-date 'Dance, Kid, Dance Act II' world tour across 11 countries, playing arenas throughout North America and Europe.
